Accidentally snuck into an electric vehicle race instead of a Formula 1

Protesters against climate change have stopped a prominent single-seater race in Germany, saying we are "on the highway to climate hell with our foot on the accelerator".

The only issue was that no gasoline-powered vehicles were used in the race. It was a Formula E race instead.

As the vehicles lined up on the grid for the Tempelhof race in Berlin, protesters from the German activist group Letzte Generation rushed the barrier, forcing security to remove them off the track and causing the race to be delayed.

The protests naturally perplexed the drivers because Formula E was designed with the environment in mind.

ABT driver Robin Frijns told The Race, "I really cannot really wrap my head around those folks, what they are actually thinking.

"We are here, Formula E stands for protecting the environment, yet they act in this way," someone said. I'm not sure I get it.
